The First Mother's Day
May 9, 1914
Think of all the work that mothers do in raising their children. Mothers need to be celebrated! President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed May 9, 1914, the first Mother's Day. He asked Americans on that day to give a public "thank you" to their mothers and all mothers.
The modern Mother's Day is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in May, though also in March, as a day to honor mothers and motherhood. In the United States it was nationally recognized as a holiday in 1914 after a campaign by Anna Jarvis. In some countries, it follows the old traditions of Mothering Sunday.
Father's Day is a corresponding holiday honoring fathers. It was thought up in 1910 by Sonora Smart Dodd, after listening to one of the early Mother's Day sermons.

Here are just a few of the beutiful cards available from so many wonderful artists, what we have to remember these are not generic usual pastel cards, each card was made with love and care to best of the artists ability, depicting what they feel, unlike shop sold cards wich are mass produced with little or no feeling... card's of mass production have taken a template and lead you to not look further, why not be alternaive and show artists how much you admire and respect their work.
Huge hugs and thanks
Moonie
